Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

 

NextUp Careers Staffing is looking for contracted professionals to fill the position below.

 

Responsible for providing reliability engineering support to client organizations.  Reliability Professionals work independently or as team members to assess, design, train and implement preventive maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and reliability continuous improvement programs.  Reliability Professionals have diverse experience in organizational management, maintenance and reliability, as well as practical experience in plant reliability and/or maintenance management.  These individuals normally have exceptional skills and knowledge in particular areas such as work flow management, PM optimization, maintenance technology and/or reliability continuous improvement through FMEA, RCA, RCM, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and other statistical methods.  Reliability Professionals have expertise in process measurement as it relates to assessing current performance, trending and documenting improvement results. Prepares the necessary reports and provides presentations and training

Have to know
  • Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances.
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals, as well as predictive and preventative maintenance tools.
  • Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques.
  • Knowledge in spectral, time waveform and phase analysis.
  • Working knowledge of other condition monitoring technologies, including oil analysis, thermography, motor current analysis and ultrasonics, and their integration with vibration analysis.

Plan, schedule and manage travel, appointments and activities Contribute to development of additional services, provide feedback to improve existing services, conduct independent assessments and implementations
Manage billing and keep supervisor and client informed on project accounting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills; expected to present at conferences and to large client gatherings.
  • Able to conduct internal training.
  • Flexibility in development and delivery methods or processes and procedures; expected to assist in developing/imporving processes and procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Technical knowledge of CMMS programs.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Frequent travel; should be able to drive and fly as routine part of assignments.
