Reliability Engineer SME Job Details

POSITION PURPOSE
NextUp Careers is currently seeking contract professionals on behalf of Allied Reliability. There are currently multiple opening in various locations across teh United States.
Responsible for providing reliability engineering support to client organizations. Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) work independently or as team members to assess, design, train and implement preventive maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and reliability continuous improvement programs. SME’s have diverse experience in organizational management, maintenance and reliability, as well as practical experience in plant reliability and/or maintenance management. These individuals normally have exceptional skills and knowledge in particular areas such as work flow management, PM optimization, maintenance technology and/or reliability continuous improvement through FMEA, RCA, RCM, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and other statistical methods. SME’s have expertise in process measurement as it relates to assessing current performance, trending and documenting improvement results. Prepares the necessary reports and provides presentations and training.

5 or more
- Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances.
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals, as well as predictive and preventative maintenance tools.
- Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques.
- Knowledge in spectral, time waveform and phase analysis.
- Working knowledge of other condition monitoring technologies, including oil analysis, thermography, motor current analysis and ultrasonics, and their integration with vibration analysis.

- Flexibility in development and delivery methods or processes and procedures; expected to assist in developing/improving processes and procedures.
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Technical or industry organization leadership.
- Knowledge of CMMS programs.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work well independently.
- Frequent travel; should be able to drive and fly as routine part of assignments.
