Product Design Engineer Job Details
|
The Product Design Engineer is responsible for new product development and product improvement projects as well as being responsible for serving as the Company’s liaison with customers seeking custom solutions of the Company’s products.

An understanding of the procedures involved in registering and certifying new products with certification bodies.
Experienced in the use of CAD or other design software
A foundation in electrical and mechanical fundamentals
A background in infrared thermograpy will be helpful as well as an understanding of general reliability engineering principals

| • Will take part in the entire product development cycle from idea creation through full product introduction | • Will lead all efforts to ensure that the product meets all required processes and certifications. This includes, UL, CSA, IEEE, ISO etc. |
| • Will work directly with customers engineering and management professionals to identify and design solutions that meet their specific requirements. | • Will work with sales and marketing to analyze research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product and/or process proposal. |
| • Will work to resolve customer technical problems that may arise and serve as a technical resource to sales and marketing when needed. |
The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills. This position does have a reasonable level of customer interaction and does require some technical sales capabilities
