Reliability Engineer Job Details
|
We currently seek a high caliber Reliability Engineer to work on a
contract basis. You will be working for one of the world’s leading
engineering, procurement & construction companies to the Oil, Gas
& Petrochemicals sector. This position is responsible for the
development and implementation of a program to assure reliability of
operating equipment in a timely and cost effective manner under the
direction of the project manager and/or Reliability Technical Lead. The
program includes developing tracking methods and formal reporting
responsibilities at regular intervals.
General Description
• Leads Predictive/Preventive maintenance program development.
• Develop Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) sheets to identify
units posing excessive failure risks and support proposed changes in
design.
• Develop and provides support for maintenance procedures and equipment
improvements based on FMEA documents.
• Analyzes the results of PM/PdM programs and makes recommendations for
improvements.
• Recommends additional data requirements to assist production and
maintenance.
• Research equipment history and perform Pareto analysis to analyze
equipment failures and establish priorities for improvement.
• Develops and maintains required performance tracking programs for
production and maintenance departments and alerts management on
performance data trends.
• Enhances personal skills, performance, and development by continued
educational training.
• Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to proactive
environmental, health and safety programs oriented towards maintenance
activities and zero accidents.

Requirements
• BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5 to 10 years of
maintenance or reliability engineering experience.
• Ten to twenty years of industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• Computer literacy in spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing (Word)
required.
• Excellent problem solving skills required.
• Polished communication and administrative skills a must.
