Senior Engineer, Reliability Engineering
 
Responsibilities:

The Reliability Engineer will work collaboratively with stakeholders to apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principals, processes and practices towards the development of maintenance strategies for all GMP and Non-GMP types and classes of equipment, utilities and facilities. This role includes the selection and application of condition and predictive maintenance techniques and methodology to the appropriate equipment.

 The incumbent will work closely with the Business Unit Maintenance department to analyze, optimize and improve maintenance practices, processes and procedures. The Reliability Engineer will also facilitate the implementation of the asset management strategy by assessing repair versus replacement options, providing input into Engineering Change Orders to existing equipment and assisting the Engineering / Technology Project Managers with new equipment design, specification and purchase decisions. The Reliability Engineer will also work collaboratively with counterparts at other sites to promote on-going communication concerning maintenance issues, take advantage of economies of scale to realize consistent cGMP and maintenance practices and ensure that shared business systems and procedures meet Genentech's goals and objectives.
 
Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and eight to ten years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance/operation environment with a focus on maintenance and reliability programs. The applicant must have overall working knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) with experience in the application and analysis of various Predictive Maintenance (PdM) methods. He/she must be able to manage 1-2 direct reports. A - Certification in Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence methodologies is preferred but not required.
