Reliability Manager, Refinery Services – Northern U.S.
Toledo, Ohio
NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:
As a member of the leadership team,
this role is accountable and has shared responsibilities for ensuring
reliable and cost effective operations while meeting or exceeding
Safety, Environmental, Responsible Care® and Quality standards.
The Reliability Manager, Refinery
Services Northern US is responsible and accountable for leading and
managing the Mechanical Reliability function in the Northern US to
achieve or exceed budgeted maintenance and production targets at each
site in a safe cost effective manner. The incumbent administers the
policies and standards as well as legislated requirements to ensure
reliability and mechanical integrity of the assets.
Based out of Toledo, the incumbent
will have overall management of the Maintenance Department, and
procurement of all plant materials, supplies, and equipment. The manager
will also be responsible for evaluating reliability and procurement
processes with the focus on operational reliability and continuous
improvement, implementing industry best practices where practical.
The position oversees and supports
three facilities of moderate (2) to significant (1) complexity and total
annual maintenance budgets of approximately $3.0 MM.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of Ten (10) years of experience in the Chemical or Oil & Gas Industry related to Reliability. In addition the successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of ASME Class VIII Div I/ & II, B31.1, B31.3 and API Codes.
- Exposure to a chemical operating plant environment and rotating equipment
- Supervision experience
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance and risk based methods
- Experienced in the use and implementation of advanced maintenance and reliability systems and practices (e.g. SAP, CMMS INFOR, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, etc.)
- Excellent leadership skills, with particular focus on:
- High performance, change agent
- Group facilitation and multi-functional project management
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Coaching, mentoring, and performance management
